The Story of Fox & Bow really started over 20 years ago when Apprentice Chef Alex met Restaurant Manager Nicole.
It wasn’t long before they had their hearts set on running their own establishment. That ensued in the way of Deep Dish,
a Modern Australian Restaurant in Manuka.
Fast forward 7 years and with 2 young boys Jack & Max, it was time for a change. Nicole headed off to the Public Service and Alex
dabbled with the construction industry before finding himself back in hospitality.
But there was unfinished business, and we knew what we wanted to do next. An extension of our home, uncomplicated tasty food,
excellent coffee and good music. And so when the opportunity came along to open our little café in Farrer, as Woden Valley Locals,
we jumped at it. Now, not so young Jack makes the coffee. Max can be seen washing the dishes on the weekend.
Oh, and there’s little Ivy now, that’s her dollhouse in the corner.
We hope you like it here. It’s mostly just us, nothing pretentious. Just a local family doing what we love with the help of our staff!
